Great news, people! Looks like bloggers will have another urgent thing to do these charming April days; and this wonderful thing is testing the dearest WordPress 3.0 Beta 1 (feel free to download the ZIP archive to install from official WordPress website).
According the official blog of the world's best blogging software platform - the Beta version was officially released on April 3rd 2010 meaning that the final launch of WordPress 3.0 is also not far away. Presumably the sooner we all as a part of WordPress community finish the testing process, the sooner we'll see final release - so everybody start testing right after you finish reading this post and hurry up to give your feedback to WordPress (again, right after you let us know your opinion). In order to know what exactly to be testing as new features you may want to consider our previous post - WordPress 3.0 - pros and cons in which we've marked the alleged new WordPress features.
We should remind that this release is BETA which means that it allows to test some of the new functions and there are many things that WordPress team hasn't finished yet. Despite the Beta status you can try such awesome stuff as the new default theme, the Custom Post Types and WordPress MU features. Also you should know that some features are not quite ready (for example custom menus system is not quite finished and Super Admin for MU needs some improvements). Anyways, we hope that you will be glad to help the WordPress community in making web a better place to be and making WordPress an even better platform for blogging.
And be sure to let your old fella TemplateMonster know what you think of this new release (even though it's still in beta) and your experience in case you have already started testing WordPress 3.0 - we're very excited about this process and will be happy to take part in the discussion! So everybody off to the comments section!
