If you are a busy person who has a lot on his plate, you may know how difficult it is to cope with all the tasks, finish them in time and still not suffer burnout. Too many small tasks, too many big tasks, and there is only 1 you. How do you cope with this powerful flow of things and not get buried by them? How can you not only stay afloat and but also learn to take charge and give this flow a destination that YOU choose?
The answer lies in planning and prioritizing. This may be even used on your desktops - if you use free wallpapers to organize, plan and prioritize files on your desktop. There are hundreds of time-management books and effective life planners, and after checking out a dozen of them, you realize that they all teach you the same things.
Usually the last point is the thing at which that 85% of us perpetually fail. You may write down what you need to do in the evening, but how do you REMEMBER in the evening that you have made this note? Not until the next day, when you find out that you have omitted to do something important.
[tweet_box] Not doing things that you planned to do is worse than no planning at all. #time-management #tips [/tweet_box]Why? It’s not a perfectionist’s bug. Again, almost all of the time-management books repeat one simple idea: the unfinished tasks keep being processed by our brain and consume our energy until we finish them (or write down a detailed plan of by when and what we should do to finish it. That is perceived by our brain as a finished task which doesn’t need to be processed any more).
The hardest thing is to remember to refer to your notes.
This is why we’ve created a set of planning printables which will serve as a great planning assistant for you when you make plans for…
First of all, they're FREE.
Secondly, you can fill in the goals that you need to accomplish right on your calendar. Make your planning more exciting just like these bullet journal maniacs.
At the end of the blog post, apart from the usual planners, you will find a planner for your future… 5 years. Have you ever planned this far ahead? If yes - that’s great. If not - it may be a little scary at first. Don’t worry, filling out this 5-year-plan form may help you focus in on some great ideas about where you are going.
So, grab these great planners and plan your life!
There’s a more detailed daily planner if you need one.
You will need this printable planner only once a month.
You need to: subdivide your monthly goal into 4 subgoals and write down the activities which will help you achieve them. For better inspiration, we suggest you fill in your “Motto of the month”. (My planner this month has “Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.” You could use some inspirational quotes from here.)
This is an intuitively understandable printable, on top of which you can write your mission of the month or your goal of the month.
Planning your meals and writing your grocery lists prevents you from exceeding your food budget and, most importantly, no meal will catch you off-guard, when you come home late, hungry and angry, and find out that you don’t have anything in the fridge.
Jokes aside. If you follow this plan every day, you will have great meals ready every time you get back from work. And you won’t have to fill out the previous planner. And your next 5 years will, most likely, be really great. And the next 5 years after them. And so on. Speaking of 5-year planning, by the way…
Just download the printables and fill them out. Have your life planned.
