This event will still follow the same routine as the first one last April. They will organize in-person translation from contributors in more than different 50 locations.

WordPress themes developers and translators will work hand in hand to reach a common goal in this event. Not only that, beginner and advanced sessions will be conducted to help new contributors learn to translate. It will also feature more advanced technical sessions for developers.

The Polyglots are busy working to expand WordPress usage to other areas of the globe. The second Global WordPress Translation Day aims to make everyone feel included. Their team is currently expanding more and more each year and is still learning to work together. New contributors are encouraged to join the event so they can learn how to translate WordPress in their own language. This goes the same with new and experienced translation editors as there will be sessions focused on providing useful tips and building a strong translation team.

However, contributors aren’t the only ones who are going to benefit from this. Developers who would like to find translators for their projects and would like to work with the Polyglots team are also invited. They will learn how to prepare their plugins and themes for localization. Or if you are just someone interested in knowing the work of the Polyglots team, you are free to join.

You can join on November 12th in your own timezone by translating WordPress and your favorite plugins and themes or go to a local event.
