Hot news! PrestaShop 1.7 themes have rolled out!
It's been a while since the last time we updated you with the news about the hottest eCommerce releases from the TemplateMonster digital marketplace. I guess the time for a small recap of the coolest themes for the second half of 2017 has arrived. Today, we are going to discuss what's new in the collection of PrestaShop themes. What has been done since the beginning of Summer 2017 and what we should expect in the future. So, let's take a look.
I guess it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I told you that the PrestaShop engine is constantly being developed and enhanced. We've already seen and played around with a number of themes compatible with PrestaShop engine v1.6. Now, it's high time to move on, find new experiences, and achieve higher goals. PrestaShop v1.7 is here to change the way you think about eCommerce.
PrestaShop v1.7
PrestaShop v1.7 became available for the public download at the beginning of September 2017. The revamped eCommerce engine has become a lot faster. It includes a long list of enhanced options, which are intended to make the users' shopping experience much more seamless and enjoyable. Some of the major changes include:
- Fixed the currency display in supply order;
- Fixed the coverage calculations in Stock Cover Report;
- Fixed price display based on the Customer_Groups feature;
- Fixed error when deleting a cart;
- Fixed id_shop routing;
- Fixed gift display in My Voucher page in My Account;
- Fixed duplicate URL for supplier list;
- …and more!
PrestaShop is an Open Source community welcoming contributions from people within and outside the community. Most of the new features that were included in the new version of the PrestaShop engine were suggested by the people from the "outside" whom the eCommerce platform lured with some unique features, which they were passionate to change. You can find interviews with PrestaShop contributors on the official PS blog. What we would like to bring to your attention features included in PrestaShop v1.7.
A new way to add products to the catalog. From now on, merchants can use shortcuts, quick actions, a refreshed interface, automatic management for combinations, and more.
A revamped module page now includes 3 tabs, which allow you to navigate between 3 sections. Thus, you can view the modules that are already installed on your site, manage those that are waiting for an action, and find new modules that can be beneficial for your business.
Refreshed back office navigation lets you enjoy better UX/UI experience, letting you browse the three major topics - sell, improve, and configure.
The "Classic" default theme is intended to bring a refined and fresh look to the site built on its basis. The template also includes enhanced product sheets and a completely revamped checkout process, which is intended to provide the web users with a better shopping experience.

Latest PrestaShop Releases in the Marketplace
As I've already mentioned earlier in this post, there is a series of fresh and hot PrestaShop releases that have hit the marketplace during the last 4 months. The inventory has been expanded with collections of PrestaShop v1.7 and v1.6 themes that are worthy of your special attention. Take a look.
PrestaShop 1.7 Themes
The most recent PrestaShop themes from the marketplace are compatible with PrestaShop version 1.7. And so, in September we were presented with a selection of the trendiest eCommerce designs.
The functionality that all of the designs have in common includes:
- HTML plus JS animation;
- valid, semantic code;
- Bootstrap framework;
- custom TM modules;
- documentation folder.
Pyhotera
This is the first PrestaShop 1.7 theme that was added to the marketplace that was released with 3 variations of the homepage layout. It includes TM Mega Layout builder, a set of custom TM modules, Ajax cart, Product Quick View, and a number of other smart theme options.
Shoeger
This ready-made design is best suited for web stores selling footwear, sneakers, shoes, sports outfits, etc.
HugeSale
This is a multipurpose PrestaShop 1.7 theme. It will work well for building apparel, electronics, furniture, food, gifts, and other kinds of web stores. It features a clean yet functional layout enhanced with an array of online shopping options. A sticky MegaMenu provides the users with the quick access to the desired product category. Product badges and quick view functionality make it easier to come up with the right decision-making. Product category sliders let you organize multiple sets of items in a usable style.
Crossfitt
As the name suggests, the theme is best suited to be used for sports and fitness sites. The layout of the template features a truly masculine presentation. MegaMenu, Header account, TM search, and a handful of other features are added to the download package.
Bormeria
This is a grand PrestaShop 1.7 theme featuring regular system updates. Lingerie stores will look especially appealing when built on its basis. At the beginning of October, 2 additional layouts are expected to roll out, so stay tuned for more.

Autotune PrestaShop theme for car parts stores. The template impresses with its intuitive navigation options. Added to the front page, TM Advanced Filter makes it possible to manage product filters in the way that meets your requirements. Advanced live search and usable structure of the layout of the theme's page make Autotune one of the most user-friendly themes in its category.
Decorta is a powerful and functional PrestaShop theme suitable for building interior design shops. It is loaded with a collection of premium modules, which would cost you as much as $942 if bought separately. Ready-made pages, color schemes, layout variations, the possibility to tweak the pages within a drag-and-drop interface, and lots of other features are added to the theme archive.
SportLabs PrestaShop theme is best suited for anyone looking for a ready-made design to sell sports nutrition. The dark-colored design of the template, featuring vivid red CTAs, looks really powerful and energetic. It also includes several variations of the homepage layout, color schemes, the ability to tweak its pages code-free, a collection of modules worth $966, and much more.
Dore Tech is one of the biggest PrestaShop releases for the Summer of 2017. It's loaded with 6 homepage layout variations, 3 product pages from which to choose, 8 ready-made color schemes, MegaMenu, Lookbook, unique documentation, and so much more. The theme is best suited to be used for fashion and beauty shops.
What's Next?
Framework 1.7
The wait is almost over. TemplateMonster is getting ready to introduce you to the first PrestaShop theme built with the new Framework 1.7. What makes it so awesome is the availability of the features that are not included in the native PrestaShop 1.7 engine. These are:
- Ajax cart;
- New checkout;
- Compare products tool;
- Wishlist;
- Custom modules
- ...and more!
In the future, all new PrestaShop themes will be released on the basis of the new Framework and new tools on board.
Security pack
Security pack module is in the final stages of its development. Using it, a client can boost the level of security on the site. Some of the features will include:
- the ability to block any efforts to copy content from the site;
- edit URL after copying it;
- track user activity;
- block users;
- image watermark, etc.
Blog 1.7
PrestaShop themes will include fully-fledged blogging functionality. Along with the ability to run a products search, the customers will be able to look for different pieces of content based on the user groups, cross-posting, time of the content publication, etc.
