15 Best IQ Books to Read Before You Turn 30

Hey, you, wandering across the Internet.

It looks as though you might be fond of reading or maybe you want to breathe fresh air into your mind. No matter the reason for opening this post, you will find an ultimate benefit for your IQ inside.

What should I start with?

Here’s a fun fact. I always thought that reading a proper book would be enough to change my life. No, I'm not that naive. (Maybe...Sometimes...Oh, well...Yes, I am).

My brain would assume that a few dozen sheets of paper imprinted with ink could make important decisions instead of me.

I would open a book with huge expectations and close it with as huge a disappointment.

The bewilderment was even greater. I read it carefully and thoughtfully, and then asked myself, why am I not in Bali? Why am I not as enlightened as Buddha?

Books can improve your mindset.

Books can bring you to the place where you want to be.

Books can turn you into the person you want to be.

But only if you have the will to change and if you are ready to take appropriate action. If you are thinking that after reading a certain book, you will be a completely different person, that is a misconception. You may be slightly better and you may find some answers to your questions, and you may even have a clearer understanding of what you should do to become the best version of yourself. But the book can’t do the work on its own, in spite of you.

Here’s what you have to feel after reading a decent motivational book:

Phew, it’s not as scary as I thought. I CAN take a step towards changing my life. I WILL be a person of actions. I am READY to implement all the pieces of advice that I’ve just discovered.

So what should I choose? Books that others say I must read? Books that I am interested in? Books that can develop my personality? It’s not a “ black or white” choice, the answer is at the junction of those three points.

Books that challenge and evoke a thirst for moving ahead are the golden ones.

I am presenting to you 10 books that everyone needs to read. Grab the one that seems the most mind-blowing to you and prepare to increase your IQ!

And it is going to be legen…

“Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand

Call it a biased opinion, call it whatever you want, but I won’t stop recommending this wonderful creation to everyone I ever meet. I was introduced to it at the age of 16 and since then it’s been my favorite book. It’s full of layers, depth and meaning. I was surprised how “Atlas Shrugged” mirrored all my youngster’s thoughts yet gave me answers to so many questions and explained to me the importance of rational egoism.

“If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders - What would you tell him?"

“I…don't know. What…could he do? What would you tell him?"

To shrug.

The closing point

Glad you survived until the end!

I have the greatest expectation that you have picked a book, that will herald your fresh start. That sip of oxygen, that you came here for. Why do I care? Because I’ve been there. I know that you need inspiration, a push or a kick in the ass. Whatever you prefer, basically.

Give up hopes and dreams as it’s time to confront the thing that you always wanted to do and have usually put off for later. Nothing on Earth can develop your personality other than yourself. Only after making a move like this did I realize what I had been missing. It happened just after I read Ayn Rand’s book. It was too good not to heed. There was no excuse anymore for me not to reach my goals.

Hopefully, you will feel the same. Feel free to come back and discuss this post with us. Also, you can rate and share it with your friends. Who knows, maybe you will be able to change someone’s life and make the world a better place!
